Description

The Wisy Floating Filter, Coarse are designed for pre-filtered water sources such as cisterns, rainwater tanks, and closed containers. Featuring a 1.2 mm mesh size and a 1″ hose connection, these filters are ideal for underwater pressure pumps. The floating ball, with a diameter of 15 cm, ensures the suction point remains in the cleanest part of the water.

These filters are available in versions with or without a non-return valve. The non-return valve, suitable for suction pumps, prevents the hose from running dry. The floating ball is constructed from environmentally friendly polyethylene, while all other components are made from durable stainless steel.

The nozzles on the floating filters are rounded and include a bead to fasten the hose securely, ensuring the hose remains fully functional despite frequent movement within the tank. Note that the highly flexible hose with an integrated non-return valve cannot hold pressure and is suitable only for suction pumps controlled by an automatic switch with a non-return valve. If your system uses an expansion vessel controlled by a pressure switch, please contact us for alternative solutions.

For optimal performance, you can choose between coarse (1.2 mm mesh size) and fine (0.3 mm mesh size) filters. Fine filters are recommended for drawing water from open sources like rivers and ponds, while coarse filters are suitable for pre-filtered water in closed containers.

The use of suction filters greatly enhances system reliability by preventing dirt particles and impurities from entering the pump, thereby reducing wear and clogging. The floating design allows the suction point to adjust with the water level, drawing from the cleanest area of the cistern. Greasy and light debris are removed via the overflow, while heavy particles settle at the bottom.

The large surface area of the floating suction filters minimizes flow resistance, allowing the pump to perform optimally. The rounded, hose-protecting nozzle with an additional bead ensures a secure hold and permanent functionality, even with frequent movement.
