Description

The WISY smoothing inlet plays a crucial role in rainwater harvesting systems by ensuring that sediment and bacteria are effectively managed within the storage tank. While filtration handles the majority of sediment and bacteria removal before water enters the tank, a beneficial biofilm layer may still settle at the tank bottom, aiding in further water purification. The Wisy smoothing inlet, constructed entirely from stainless steel, acts as a brake to slow incoming water flow, thereby preventing sediment agitation at the tank’s inlet. This design also aerates harvested rainwater by directing it upwards and outwards, preserving the integrity of the biofilm layer and maintaining water quality. Additionally, the inlet serves as the second step in a comprehensive four-step rainwater cleansing system, distributing fresh rainwater evenly throughout the storage tank while preventing sediment disturbance.
