Installation Requirements

Foundation Preparation

Install the tank on a solid, level, fully supported foundation capable of supporting the combined weight of the tank and its contents.

Recommended foundations include:

• Reinforced concrete pad
• Engineered steel skid or platform
• Heavy-duty transport trailer designed for liquid tanks
• Compacted gravel base with reinforced support (for stationary installations where appropriate)

Avoid:

• Uneven ground
• Point loading
• Wooden pallets
• Unsupported spans
• Soft or unstable soil

The entire base of the tank should be fully supported to prevent distortion.

Positioning Requirements

• Install the tank in its intended horizontal orientation.
• Ensure the tank is level before filling.
• Allow sufficient clearance around the tank for plumbing connections and maintenance.
• Position the tank where the access lid can be fully opened.
• Protect the tank from accidental vehicle impact where applicable.

Lifting and Handling

The tank includes moulded lifting lugs for handling when empty.

Recommendations:

• Lift only when the tank is empty.
• Use lifting equipment with adequate capacity.
• Attach lifting equipment only to the designated lifting lugs.
• Never lift or transport the tank when filled unless installed on equipment specifically engineered for that purpose.

Inlet and Outlet Connections
